Asetek Announces the Forte Formula Pro Wheel

Asetek Simsports just unveiled their newest bit of kit: the Forte Formula Pro Wheel. It’s aimed straight at serious sim racers who want Formula-style grip, premium materials, and a screen that actually tells you something mid-race.

This wheel rounds out the Forte lineup and fills the gap for drivers who wanted something between entry-level paddles and full-blown Invicta overkill. And yes, it looks like it means business.

Asetek's CEO Andre released a YouTube video showing off a prototype of the new wheel and talking about its many features:

Key Features

  • Formula-style, closed-grip design with sculpted grips and a carbon shell
  • Integrated high-res display for telemetry, gear, revs, and custom data
  • Contactless magnetic shifters with a snappy feel and zero flex
  • 12 programmable RGB buttons, 7-way joystick, and 3 rotary encoders
    • Asetek’s QR system for rock-solid mounting to their wheelbases

It’s clearly built to compete with mid- to high-end wheels from Fanatec and MOZA, but Asetek’s focusing hard on tactile quality and streamlined telemetry integration.

Pricing & Availability

At launch, the Forte Formula Pro Wheel is priced just under the premium tier, not cheap, but not out of reach for drivers already invested in the Asetek ecosystem. It’s available now for pre-order through Asetek’s official site and will start shipping across EU and North America this month. The cost? 629 euros, not including tax/VAT. That translates to just over $700 USD. Oh and, you'll need to purchase the grips separately, which will add another $100 or so.

They haven’t bundled it with any base yet, but it’s designed to pair perfectly with the Forte and Invicta DD units. If you’re already running one of those, this is a plug-and-play upgrade.

Who is the Formula Forte Pro for?

  • Formula car fans who don’t want a bulky round wheel
  • Drivers looking to upgrade from entry-level without going full Invicta pricing
  • Anyone who races open-wheel in iRacing, ACC, or rFactor 2

If you already own a round wheel for GT or rally, this makes a great secondary wheel for open-wheel seasons, or just a flex piece on your rig.

Final Thoughts

Asetek has been moving fast. They came in hot with pedals, having recently released the THORP 2, and have also nailed the direct drive market, and now they’re filling out the wheel lineup with purpose. The Forte Formula Pro Wheel isn’t revolutionary, but it looks rock-solid and checks the right boxes for serious drivers.

We’ll be testing one as soon as we can get it. For now, it looks like a clean, competitive addition to one of the fastest-growing sim brands out there.
