Cockpit Assembly

With only 16 steps in the manual to get to the end, the F-GT Pro offers the quickest installation process out of any rig I've owned.

There are two main parts of the frame that you bolt together, then add the backrest. Assembling the pedal and wheelbase plates were a breeze, too.

I finished this install in less than 1 hour!

Simagic-Powered Gear

This setup features a full Simagic setup, including their recently released Alpha Evo (12nm) wheel base. This is my first experience with any Simagic gear.

Paired with the base is the GT Neo steering wheel, but I can also swap in the Neo X Hub with a round sports car wheel rim (P330R) when the occasion arrives. The P1000 pedals round everything out.

The only downside I can see for now is that all Simagic products carry only a 1-year warranty - considerably less than many of its competitors. That's not very confidence inspiring.

Components

Wheelbase: Simagic Alpha Evo 12nm

At under $600 for the 12nm model, the Alpha Evo offers serious value. If you’re upgrading from an older DD base or stepping into direct drive for the first time, this should be at the top of your list. It's the most bang for your buck right now.

Steering Wheel: Simagic GT Neo

I actually have no idea how Simagic are able to sell this wheel for only $269! You're getting a ton of features for that price - even carbon fiber composive material that it's built of. There's 10 customizable RGB buttons, 2 rotary switches, 2 thumb encoders, and 2 funky switches! It's a 300mm diameter wheel, suitable for GT driving.

Pedals: Simagic P1000

Starting at $469 USD, there are definitely less expensive pedal sets out there, but the P1000s punch way above their weight. The full CNC machined aluminum build feels of quality, giving you confidence that they're built to last. The pedal faces can be adjusted to your liking, and you can adjust the braking force by installing rubber pads and springs.

Assembling them was very easy, as they come already attached to the mounting plate. All you'll have to do is attach the heel rest.
